Sue is our resident counsellor and she loves working with adults and children, to support and encourage them on their journey of self discovery and empowerment.

Sue has been a counsellor in private practice since 2012.  For the last five years she has also had contract work  with children in eight different primary schools.

Her background includes three and a half years voluntary counselling for LifeLine and she has also worked as a field worker for Birthright Canterbury working with single parent families.

Sue is passionate about helping people to be the best they can be.

She has experience working with adults and children through anxiety, depression, trauma and many different life situations.

Her practice is based in a person-centred approach but she also uses various different approaches to counselling such as solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and interactive drawing therapy.

Sue has a gentle, caring style and works with each individual at their own pace. She provides a safe, non-judgemental, caring approach within a professional, and positive environment.
