Kate Broughton is a clean eating consultant, writer and food lover. She works with people ready to take back their health and happiness one fresh and delicious meal at a time.
As a former nurse Kate always felt nutrition was the missing piece of the therapeutic puzzle. Once she discovered the power of a wholefood plant-based diet she couldn’t un-see the profound health benefits that were possible. Around that time her best ever friend died of cancer. This was the catalyst for Kate to follow her dreams of cooking with celebrity vegan chef Mark Reinfeld and studying Plant-based Nutrition at Cornell University.
Through cooking classes, group work and 1:1 coaching Kate has seen clients increase their energy and mobility, reduce symptoms of heart failure, get their kids eating more vegetables, and start living more.
If you spend any time with Kate you’ll discover she is not one for restriction and dogma. She will, however, be the coach in your corner. Kate will push you to take better care of yourself. You’ll find you at the top of your own priority list creating a whole new way of eating and living.
Kate says if she were to write my memoirs this could be in it: A wild-colonial-girl-type upbringing on a Waikato sheep farm. 20 years nursing taught her about humility + suffering + hope + miracles. Motherhood at age 40 topped all previous life experiences. Eating only plants was an experiment she started in 2004 … today her family call it their lifestyle + love it. Kate has a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell University & T Colin Campbell Centre for Nutrition Studies. Life Coaching Certification ironed out her wrinkles (not all of them!) so she can help iron out yours. Kate says she is blessed to have worked with folk who have reclaimed their mojo through food. Priceless.
